The problem
Remote teams were losing an hour a day to standups that could have been a written update.
The process
Shipped a Slack-based async standup tool in two weeks to test demand before writing more code.
The results
Signed up 40 teams in the first month but couldn't find a pricing model that worked. Shut it down after three months rather than force it.
